US$115,000 raised for Sailor's Society

For the Great Wall of China challenge, 27 teams from different companies across the shipping industry raised approx. US$115,000 for sailor’s society by hiking 25 km from Jiankou to Coiling Dragon Hill.

Celebrating Sailors’ Society’s 200th anniversary, the society want to make this year an amazing experience for all who take part and keep making a positive difference to the lives of seafarers, on whom we all depend. 2018 is therefore packed with challenges and charity events, such as the Great Wall of China challenge, Clipper Regatta and Loch Ness Challenge.

For the Great Wall of China challenge, 27 teams from different companies across the shipping industry raised approx. US$115,000 for sailor’s society by hiking 25 km from Jiankou to Coiling Dragon Hill.

Several appreciated customers participated in the challenge, and we are proud of all participating companies. Companies represented at the event, which was sponsored by Cargill and Minsheng, were: Andrew Moore & Associates Ltd, Cargill, Clarksons Platou, Pacific Basin, Epic Gas, Latitude Brokers, Lorentzen & Stemoco AS, Minsheng Financial Leasing, North of England P&I Club, Reed Smith Singapore, Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO), The China Navigation Company Pte Ltd (CNCo), Wallem and Xinde Marine.

Amongst the fundraisers/fundraising teams for the Great Wall of China Challenge is Vessel Operator at Cargill Nishad Rahiman and his team, whom NAVADAN has supported with a humble contribution.
